My name is Agnès Chetaille.

I have always been passionate about change and what makes it possible – for individuals and for societies. In the past, I was an activist in queer feminist collectives, and a social scientist working on social movements and politics of gender, sexuality and migration.

I met somatics in my own psychotherapeutic process. It felt like a revolution: connecting to my bodily experience showed me that change was always already there, trying to happen. I learned how to open up to it. It didn't solve all my issues – but it removed the feeling of being stuck, both physically and emotionally.

I trained as a somatic practitioner because I wanted to share this experience. Witnessing someone's process into transformation is always extraordinary. I bring to the space all of my presence, as well as my sense of humor and my love for slowness, deep connection, and non-judgmental listening. I feel honored to support people in this way and am continuously grateful for what I do.

---

I am in my own process – individually as a healing mind-body, professionally as a practitioner, and politically as a member of our shared world. To me, "individual healing" doesn't make much sense – we grow by (re)connecting with ourselves and with each other in the same movement. More than individual psychology, I like to look at how (micro-)cultures can contribute to perpetuating harm and trauma, or promote and sustain repair, true belonging, and healing.

I was born and raised in France and I speak French, English, and some Polish. (If English is not your first language, it is not problem at all. I have worked with people from many linguistic backgrounds. Sometimes speaking about ourselves in a different language can be surprisingly freeing and interesting). The pronouns I use are she/her and they/them. I welcome questions and conversations about my own positionality at any stage of the process.

Every body is welcome to work with me. I do my best to welcome everyone in full respect of their identities, culture, religion and beliefs. In particular, I actively recognize the impact of patriarchal violence, racism, and other systemic oppressions on our (mental) health.

I am committed to continuous training to update and expand my knowledge. Lately I followed a Nervous System Study Group (Trauma Geek, 2024), a course in politicized somatics called Unraveling Embodied White Supremacy (Third Space Somatics, 2024), an advanced TRE Method® training on collective practice and co-regulation (Mariano Pedroza, SomaVibrance, 2025), and a course on colonialism and ancestral responsibility (Tobi Ayé, 2025).

The way I hold space and the embodied knowledge I share are also deeply indebted to queer and anti-racist movements and communities I have been part of throughout the years, especially self-organized support groups and informal networks of solidarity.

I am constantly networking with inspiring colleagues, and I am committed to regular intervision and supervision. I insist on working in a trauma-informed way, and ethics are very important to me.
